SE-V Instrumentation Cell is looking for a principle engineer to support Flight Test Instrumentation activities for Pratt & Whitney military and commercial programs. Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) engineers handle instrumentation design, installation and support for engines deployed in the field on customer aircraft, development flying test bed engines and certification programs. FTI Engineers must be able to handle rapidly changing requirements and priorities in a fast paced atmosphere. Worldwide travel to customer locations is required.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Qualification: Basic Qualifications:
15 - 20 years of experience with Instrumentation.
US Citizen due to program requirements.
Ability to obtain government clearance is required.
Strong background working with pressure, temperature, strain and vibration sensors as well as design packages such as AUTOCAD and Team Center with NX.
Experience with ICADS data systems and familiarity with acquisition hardware manufactured by Curtis-Wright (ACRA Controls), Teletronics Technology Corporation (TTC), Zodiac Data Systems and Quad Tron.
Must have experience with On Board Data System design and setup as well as sensor installation and hook up schemes. Candidate must possess excellent organization, communication and project management skills.
Candidate must also possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
