This Production Operator position involves running various automated machinery performing cutting, grinding and etching functions for silicon wafer processing.
The position will take place in a semi-cleanroom environment, having to wear PPE including hairnet, safety glasses, gloves, and company-provided uniform and safety shoes.
Must have a strong attention to detail, utilizing time management and multitasking skills, monitoring machine progress with multiple machines being at different stages of the process.
It is routinely required to lift or manipulate 25 lb. cases of material throughout the day, loading and unloading the machinery, and pushing/pulling carts loaded with 100+ lbs. of material. It may be required to lift up to 60 lb. solid pieces of material on occasion as well.
Must be able to stand or be walking for extended periods of time and able to work a 12-hour shift.
Basic computer skills are necessary, including basic proficiency with email and Microsoft Excel.
A general mechanical aptitude is highly preferred as there can be occasions where some minor machine maintenance/upkeep and troubleshooting may be necessary.
Must be organized, willing and ready to learn and be trained, and able to work well with others as part of a team.
These are 12-hour Shift positions. Day Shift is 6am to 6pm, Nigh Shift is 6pm to 6am. Shifts operate on a compressed workweek, alternating 3-ON/4-OFF and 4-ON/3-OFF weekly schedules which require working every other weekend and will likely entail additional overtime days when needed.
Candidates that prefer and/or are willing/able to work Night Shift are highly preferred, but ultimately need to be flexible to work any shift as training will often take place on a day shift for a few weeks to a few months before moving to night shift eventually. There is even possibility for the position to be moved to a Monday thru Friday Graveyard Shift at some point in the future.
Night Shift offers 15% shift differential in addition to the base pay.
