Position Title:Production Supervisor
Reports To:Manufacturing Manager
Positions Supervised:Production Employees
Basic Functions: Supervise and direct all production employees assigned to respective area in accordance with approved company policies, objectives and programs and departmental objectives and programs.
Principle Responsibilities and Relationships:
Responsible for all production activities in respective area at an efficient cost in accordance with approved process sheets, production schedules, delivery dates, and quality standards.
Responsible for the accuracy of all production information and counts required from area, making sure through audits and other means that production employees are reporting this information accurately.
Responsible for effectively communicating information relative to personnel, equipment, or process difficulties with other shift personnel.
Responsible for initiating corrective action in respective area on specific causes of production issues.
Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment in his area including the proper instruction of all employees in the proper use thereof.
Responsible for maintaining the tools used in his area in an efficient operating condition.
Responsible for securing a satisfactory level of performance from production personnel in area.
Responsible for making suggestions involving machinery, tools, equipment improvement, and product improvement in area.
Responsible for the maintenance of good housekeeping and enforcement of safety standards in respective area.
Responsible for maintaining a uniform policy of discipline within area in conformity with company policies.
Assist in settling of personnel issues arising in respective area and in general promote positive labor relations.
Responsible for keeping abreast of new developments in assigned field.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school graduate or equivalent with some college desirable.
Approximately one (1) to three (3) years manufacturing experience including some supervisory experience.
Previous product line experience helpful.
