Food Distribution Company is looking to add a Purchasing Specialist to review and approve purchase requests received from departments on a contract-to-hire basis! The Purchasing Specialist will oversee identifying, analyzing, and resolving purchasing issues within the company departments. The Purchasing Specialist will also work on identifying cost saving opportunities, process improvements and negotiating contract agreements.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field.
- Minimum of 1-year experience working in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain position.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Experience working with some accounting software.
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
- A detailed, organized, patient approach.
- Adage software experience.
