QUALITY PROCESS ENGINEER
The Quality Process Engineer supports the facility operations implementing various quality functions. This support includes driving root cause analysis of any problems, driving/leading project improvement teams, supporting manufacturing in their functions, facilitating the use of effective problem-solving tools, i.e. TS 9000, FMEA, Control Plan, Stage Gate Process, statistical analysis, DOE, MVT.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment working with quality systems and processes, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is preferred. Automotive background experience a plus. Experience in implementing an automated quality check input process, with regular reporting function. Six Sigma certification, 5-S and Lean experience a plus. Must stay current with quality technologies, i.e. systems, software, processes, and gauges. Must be an effective problem solver. The ability to think clearly in a fast-paced environment is a plus. Must pass all required background check areas successfully, including a drug screen.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, write, walk, distinguish color, visually inspect product, hear, talk, stand, sit, lift up to 30 pounds, bend, squat, reach, grasp, have finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination, etc.
Employees will be utilizing a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the process of handling the glass. Required PPE will include safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, and other PPE, as needed.
