The Administrative Nursing Supervisor assesses the hospital staffing to meet the patient care needs, and responds to disaster situations. The Supervisor deploys staff to meet patient care needs, regulatory compliance, and hospital policy. The Supervisor coordinates and administers staff utilization, including facilitation of interdepartmental activities. The Supervisor informs department director and hospital administration of patient care issues, employee issues, and community disasters. The Department Directors will be notified in a timely manner regarding staffing issues (shortages, flexing, floating, sick calls) and will assist with the coordination of staff utilization and patient care.
