The ideal candidate is someone who wants to learn from the ground up and is excited to work at Medical - Healthcare Institution. This Department recognizes work/family balance and recognizes hard work and tries to make it fun to be at work. There is huge opportunity in this position. It will start at the front desk and they will need great customer service skills and a positive attitude, troubleshooting and multitasking. Attendance and arrival time are critical because calling out sick or coming in late heavily affects overall operations. The other skills that we are looking for in order to handle our supplier related tasks which are true attention to detail in data validation, being able to see the big picture, i.e. an address that gets keyed affects things further down the pipeline like where POs or payments are sent. Most importantly looking for someone who will be adaptable to change. This Dept is starting many projects for the build-out and testing of a new financial system and team members will be working on many projects and pulled into meetings. Someone who is open to change and understands that a day's work may be a little different each day is a MUST.
The Departments of Business Services are responsible for purchasing and paying for goods and services on behalf of the university and for processing purchases and payments in compliance with policies set forth by the university, sponsored projects, the Internal Revenue Service, and the State Board of Equalization.
Supplier Data Management Medical - Healthcare Institution values the quality of its suppliers and the strength of its collaborative partnerships. The departments of Business Services work in tandem with university suppliers to provide professional, responsive, and quality goods and services in support of the University of Southern California's (Medical - Healthcare Institution) academic, research, social and economic goals. Additionally, Procurement Services collaborates with the Small Business Diversity Office (SBDO) to reach the university's goal to procure, regardless of source of funds, 15% of all purchases with diverse suppliers, including woman, minority, and veteran-owned businesses.
