Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Systems Engineer2/3 Engineering, Sciences & Technology (ES&T) Central Region Engineering, Huntsville Site.
In the Mission Systems sector, you'll join our experts in developing systems and solutions that keep our world safe. The qualified applicant will work in our Huntsville, Alabama office, headquarters for the Missile Defense and Protective Systems (MDPS) division
We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to perform the following duties:
Research and develop new reliability techniques
Apply data analysis techniques that can include
Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Failure reporting, analysis and corrective action system (FRACAS)
Root cause analysis (RCA) and root cause failure analysis (RCFA)
Reliability modeling and prediction
Statistical process control
Create and present quantitative results.
Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned
Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Works under general supervision.
Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Failure to achieve results or inadequate work product should be detected by supervisory oversight but may cause delay in program schedules and allocation of additional resources
Primarily internal company contacts. Infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.
This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.
BQs for a Reliability Engineer 2 are 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters
BQs for a Reliability Engineer 3 are 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PHD
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Experience with PTC Windchill Quality Solutions Reliability Analysis Software or other reliability software analysis software
Reliability Block Diagrams
Performing FMECA analysis
Reliability Growth Curve models
Software metrics and test data collection
Performing fault tree analysis (FTA) on systems and subsystems
Must be well organized self-starter, effective working independently, and highly
Good oral and written communication skills
Possess the ability to comprehend software source code and technical documents
Experience in applying the IEEE Recommended Practice on Software Reliability
Experience with 217Plus
Statistical analysis background
Design of Experiments background
Active Secret Clearance
