Identify and close new household goods business opportunities consistent with company goals and objectives
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Hunter mentality, aggressively cultivate new business through referrals, local and professional networking, internet research, etc.
Meet or exceed established sales call and sales volume guidelines
Develop and deliver effective sales presentations in a professional manner
Travel to customer residence to conduct visual survey and provide accurate written estimate of services
Develop competitive pricing packages and book moving services
Attend industry events and maintain professional membership status as a way to both network within the industry and secure new business prospects
Work with operations and customer service staff to ensure customer requirements and expectations are clearly defined to ensure top customer satisfaction
Produce and distribute sales activity reports as required/maintain customer contact software.
Provide best-in-class customer service

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is preferred; two to five years of direct sales experience; moving industry experience is preferred
Must possess and demonstrate the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must effectively write reports, and business correspondence. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Must demonstrate excellent mathematical and administrative skills to ensure accurate pricing, proposal development and record keeping.
Must possess and demonstrate the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must be highly proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.

Valid state driver license with current automobile insurance as required by the state of residence.
