Senior Design Verification Engineer
The Design Engineer in the Non-Volatile Memory Group at Micron Technology, Inc., will be core technical individual contributor in design and verification of the on-chip controller and mixed signal circuitry in NAND FLASH chips. In this highly visible and challenging role, your responsibilities will include architecture development, full-chip and block-level verification and development of firmware code for NAND internal operations. You will be working very closely with design teams both domestic and overseas on different projects.
- Good knowledge of circuit design, digital logic, and logic verification methodologies
- Understanding of Verilog RTL coding, System Verilog object-oriented language
- Good knowledge of programming languages like C++ and scripting languages like TCL and PERL
- UVM Proficiency
- Knowledge of Non-volatile memory design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and maintenance of positive relationships
- Results-oriented and goal-oriented personality
- Teamwork skills in a diverse team environment
- Technical support to internal and external model users
- Collaboration with Application Engineers on design datasheet and model requirements
- Knowledge and/or experience in large-scale design projects
- Knowledge of Digital ASIC Design methodology
- Experience with mixed-mode design and validation
Manage Designs, Starting from Spec, Ensuring Designs Meet Requirements
Develop and deploy patterns and regressions to increase the functional verification coverage for specific memory architectures
Develop test cases directed or randomly constrained to verify functionality
Develop testbench in System Verilog targeting complete functionality coverage
Employ full-chip functional verification on Micron’s non-volatile memory design projects
Understand design specs and develop verification plans for various designs
Run directed and constrained-random verification tests
Support System Verilog assertion and coverage-driven methodology
Support design verification methodology improvements
Close coverage metrics to identify verification holes and to show progress towards tape-out
Direct Communication Between all Micron Sites
Direct the use of source code management system between all sites
Push out new testing methodologies as available
Coordinate and facilitate ongoing meetings
Collaborate with digital design team to debug test cases and deliver functionally accurate designs
Manage Project Work
Use testbench to create input vectors for simulations
Manage output of Verilog pass/fail result within a design margin
Write scripts to automate regression testing
Capture input from Design Team for projects; work with designers to find issues, and prevent future failures
Verify testbench environment has been setup before start of project
Proactively take on independent research to help develop leading-edge verification methodologies and design for verification techniques.
Write System Verilog Assertions to check internal signals are meeting specifications
- MS degree in Electrical Engineering or BS + 5 years’ experience required.
- Design experience of 5- 8 years is desirable.
