FactSet QA Analysts are responsible for monitoring and testing the quality, consistency and reliability of windows and web-based applications. Analytics QA Analysts are responsible for testing FactSet's flagship suite of portfolio products, such as Portfolio Analysis.
The Analytics QA group is currently looking for a candidate to provide hands on testing for our Analytics Infrastructure products as well as act as a liaison to facilitate testing by remote teams. The Analytics Infrastructure team develops applications and utilities, which facilitate tasks for portfolio managers, traders, risk analysts and performance analysts. This position involves regular prioritization, communication and collaboration with Product Development, Software Engineering and Analysts in global locations. This role offers a unique high-level overview of the development of various portfolio products. This insight gives the individual the opportunity to contribute towards meaningful department impact.
Act as a liaison between PD, Engineering and QA to manage product areas, clarify questions, review requirements and communicate with remote teams to plan and prioritize testing
Learn all components of Analytic infrastructure: database structures, integration utilities and tools used across various Analytic applications
Develop, maintain and execute test plans for various FactSet Applications
Monitor, manage, and report bugs within the applications using customized bug tracking tools and industry standard tools such as JIRA, Trello
Work proactively with software and product developers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Work with the automation team to identify and automate testing
Ensure consistency of applications with other FactSet applications and products
Communicate with stakeholders to prioritize projects that align with the business needs of the company
Work closely and proactively with the software and product development teams to determine the best way to increase the quality of the product
Document QA workflows and processes
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
A minimum of 8 years QA experience
Experience working with remote teams
Understanding of SDLC
Ability to design, plan, build and execute test processes based on loosely defined business requirements
Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities and effectively alter goals
Have a natural curiosity for solving problems
Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills
Very strong organizational skills
Experience with Web Application testing
Basic knowledge of financial terms and concepts
Experience with database testing
