Position Description for Java Developer:
Our client is a large Financial Company with an office in Downtown Boston, MA.
This person will be a member of a development team tasked with providing design, development and support activities for our client’s customers Market Access Centralization project. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical experience in software engineering using primarily Java, ability to work across multiple languages and platforms, technical triage skills, strong communication skills, strong organization skills and the ability to effectively multi-task.
Required Skills for Java Developer:
6+ years’ of professional software engineering experience
Core Java experience
Experience with messaging (JMS, ActiveMQ, etc)
Web Services experience (REST, SOAP, etc)
Relational Database experience (Oracle, DB@, etc)
Experience working on a Unix or Linux platform including Shell Scripting experience
Desired Skills (not required but you will get exposure to some of these):
Multi-Threaded development experience
Experience with Git and Maven
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
