What We Need:
The Solutions Engineer (SE) is responsible for supporting new and existing sales teams in acquiring new business or upselling to existing business. The SE will work closely with sales representative’s customers and prospects in providing technical guidance and developing solutions to customer’s technology-based business outcomes. The responsibilities in this role will include: discovery and definition of customer requirements, design and pricing of customer application solutions, assisting in customer presentations, approving all contracted sales from a design and engineering standpoint, interfacing with local and central service delivery and operations personnel to ensure a smooth hand off of all sales orders. The Solutions Engineer will adhere to Flexential selling methodology.
What You'll Do:
Technical leadership with customers and prospects for pre-sales engineering.
Discovery of customer’s critical business issues and requirements.
Solution design to meet customer requirements.
Participation in and assistance with sales process and closure (selling methodology).
Assisting in customer presentations.
Coordination of additional support as necessary for sales opportunities.
Assistance with backlog management
Building strong customer relationships and customer satisfaction
Interface with local and central Managed Services, Operations, Marketing, Support and Service Delivery organizations.
Continually seeking industry and market information to provide Flexential with information necessary for successful business development.
Recommending services and pricing improvements with all Peak 10 services; acting as liaison with local partners to enhance Peak 10’s solution and service delivery; training/mentoring - promoting the professional growth of the team.
Ensuring Flexential visibility to the local and regional market/community.
Bachelor's Degree preferred
A minimum of 3 years relevant technical complex I/T Sales Engineering experience
Demonstrated ability to call on C-Level Executives and Engineers
Demonstrated track record of success earning new business
Demonstrated experience providing excellence in customer support
Other training and experience may be substituted for the job requirements at the discretion of the manager
