Meadowridge Academy is a 36 bed therapeutic residential school that provides comprehensive treatment for adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues, mental health disorders and complex trauma histories. Our mission is to protect and support our students, while developing their strengths, teaching them skills and re-writing their stories. Our vision is to create a homelike environment, that promotes wellness, where all students feel truly cared for.
Our school is seeking a highly organized and professional candidate to serve as a licensed special education teacher with experience in teaching high school and middle school level courses. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and have an understanding of utilizing and applying the Massachusetts Common Core Standards for students in grades 6 through 12. Experience working with adolescents in an alternative school setting or treatment program is preferred but not required. Meadowridge Academy’s calendar has 184 school days, September through June and another 32 during July and August for summer school.
