Responsible for the development, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of all City of Weston community events. Coordinates with city's leadership, departments, permit agencies, and community organizations. Reports to the Director of Parks & Recreation. Provides direction and supervision in areas of special events, recreation programs, and volunteer services. Schedules, organizes, and coordinates logistical requirements. Ensures proper use and care of facilities and equipment. Solicits, secures, and negotiates retail and food vendors/venues/sponsors/community partners. Ensures events are on-time, scope, and budget. Performs risk management. Responsible for documentation and compliance with City Code procurement policies and procedures. Performs related duties. BS in Event Management, Leisure Services, Recreation, or equivalent education and experience. Minimum of 5 years. Valid Florida MVR. Must be able to obtain NIMS certifications within 6-months.
