Senior Product Development Engineer – Work in collaboration with engineering and biological scientist teams to develop, optimize, and validate Company’s sample-to-answer systems. Coordinate the engineering technology transfer of R&D from the London to the US engineering teams and vice versa. Integrate ISFET (Sensitive Field Effect Transistor) technology, lead projects to integrate bench chemistries into an In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD). Execute complex experiments and perform in-depth statistical analysis. Prepare, review, and deliver reports and scientific presentations. Adopt strategic approaches to experimental design and troubleshooting issues and identify existing or novel development solutions. Analyze and review key IVD assay development test plans and acceptance criteria to characterize product performance attributes. Work on assay development program milestones, including design inputs, performance specifications, and development of design verification and validation plans, protocols, and reports. Manage, enable, and drive engineering solutions with partners and vendors. Support transfer of product to manufacturing operations. Required education: Master of Science or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering or related. Required work experience: 1 year in the job offered or 1 year as a Product Development Engineer or Senior Engineer. Additional requirements: work experience to include at least 1year of the following: 1.) Product development; 2.) Ion Sensitive Field Effect Transistor (ISFET) based detection of nucleic acid amplification systems and Assay Integration; 3.) IVD regulated environment; 4.) Designing and developing integrated fluidic Microsystems. Travel Required: Position requires 20% international and domestic travel. Company will pay all travel expenses. 40 hours/ week.
