Staff Procurement Engineer:
As an integral member of the Kulicke and Soffa Product Development team, you will be responsible for the creation and implementation of procurement strategies that support equipment development objectives. A strong understanding of Engineering drawings and ability to interpret Engineering specifications is necessary to be successful. The primary role of this position is to provide cost feedback to the development team as well as identification of new supply chain solutions. Working in a social environment will allow you to build strong, value added relationships with suppliers, internal customers and cross functional departments.
Duties will include:
Review and negotiate supplier pricing, terms and conditions and exceptions to mitigate risks.
Manage procurement quotes, documents, update cost databases.
Team with Singapore factory staff to analyze lead times, identify critical paths and prioritize demand requirements.
Participate in Engineering brainstorming meetings to identify solutions available via the supply chain.
Building strong value added relationships with suppliers and fellow team members.
Manage cost roadmaps and cost rollup spreadsheets.
BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
> 5 years of relevant experience
Working knowledge of geometric tolerances.
Experience with machinery or similar procurement.
Experience creating and/or modifying Excel spreadsheets, macros and visual basic programs.
Experience working with overseas suppliers.
Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment.
Some evening conference calls along with limited international travel.
Reasonable presentation and negotiation skills.
Highly motivated individual able to motivate others to achieve common goals.
