Advanced Programs Structural Analysis Engineer (Level 3) - Position requires experience in Composite Structural Analysis methods and documentation, detailed analysis procedures, load path development, layout and detail sizing, impact damage effects, failure theories, stacking sequence/laminate analysis, environmental effects, bolted and bonded composite joints, and finite element modeling of composite structure. This position also requires some experience in Metallic Structural Analysis methods and documentation including detailed analysis procedures, analysis of fittings/fasteners/joints/splices, acoustics/vibration familiarity, structural integrity planning, design criteria development, stability, crippling, durability analysis and finite element modeling of metallic structure. Desired skills include familiarity with layout sizing, and structural integrity evaluations. Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis including NX Nastran and FEMAP (or Patran) is required. A working knowledge of the NGTools suite, under the ASTRA initiative is highly recommended. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate should be a self-starter and be able to handle multiple tasks in parallel.
The position is contingent upon contract award.Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be experienced with analyzing composite and metallic structure for aerospace applications.
BS degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil) and at least 5 years of experience in Aerospace structural analysis or
MS degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil) and 3 years of Aerospace structural analysis experience.
Experience in Finite Element Analysis Tools Including FEMAP (or Patran) and Nastran.
In Scope DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance with investigation within the last 5 years required.
Previous leadership experience in structural analysis is preferred
Experience with FEMAP
Prior Special Programs Access, and Top Secret
Prior Military Aircraft experience
