The Seattle Production facility is a fast-paced environment focused on quality, safety and teamwork. Located below Queen Anne in Seattle, the Production department employs about 20 of the 60 people on site.
Primary responsibilities of the Test Engineer I position include, but are not limited to:
Final testing and release of high end imaging systems in accordance to set standards and goals.
Create and maintain assembly & calibration documents and quality records
Integration of final assemblies (electrical, mechanical & micro fluidics)
Ability to debug electrical, mechanical & micro fluidics components
Testing and providing feedback on new software and hardware enhancements prior to release
Adherence to safety procedures
Who You Are:
4-year engineering degree, EE, ME or Bio Engineering with 0-1 year work experience in a similar field.
Alternative requirements: 3+ years work experience in a similar field with proven track record building and testing electro-mechanical assemblies
Proficient with ImageStreamX, Flowsight and Amnis technology
Proficient with Amnis/ EMD Millipore policies and procedures
Experience writing and updating procedures
6 Sigma training
Inclined toward keeping productive and willing to work outside implied responsibilities
Proactive: Ability to see/ predict problems and offer solutions
Multi-disciplined and flexible to cross train and assist in other areas due to business need
Ability to read and interpret assembly, electrical, and fluidic drawings/ schematics
Excellent organization skills and ability to maintain an orderly work environment
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and product enhancements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel
Enthusiastic emphasis on Quality and attention to detail.
Travel Requirements: May be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move to a cart. Must wear personal protective equipment as required.
