-Client is seeking a Transaction Risk Portfolio Manager
-Manages portfolio that produces $35 million in yearly warranties.
-Manages large national account(s) for which client provides a guarantee service and coordinates the day to day workloads for a team of analysts who support the account.
-Creates, tests and implements statistical business models and rule sets which reduce loss exposure
-Develops and implements innovative solutions and processes to reduce warranty expenses for portfolio while increasing the accuracy of transaction declines issued to merchants.
-For these accounts, creates statistical business models and rule sets to reduce net write-off, monitors accounts to validate authorization system processing and that accounts perform to expectations, and interact with sales and service staff as well as customers to effectively sell and service accounts.
-Creates an infrastructure of databases and reporting tools to enhance Client's ability to access and utilize data that is necessary to make effective decisions.
-Manages/Coordinates the day to day workloads of analysts and senior analysts who support the account.
-Serves as a technical leader and mentor to the analysts while helping to build their business acumen
-4 year degree required, Mathematics or Statistics preferred. MBA preferred; 6-8 years general business experience in a Senior Analytical, Finance or IT role.
-Extensive experience working with, understanding, and analyzing large amounts of data.
-Demonstrated ability to efficiently retrieve data from multiple data sources with strong Access and Excel skills.
-Must have QUANTITATIVE ANALYTICS.
-Experience with SQL as well as one or more programming languages such as Visual Basic, C++, Java, HTML, etc.
-Experience in a project management role with the ability to drive projects to attain desired results.
-Strong communication and presentation skills; must possess the ability to effectively represent Risk Control through written and verbal interaction with external and internal clients.
-SAS experience is a plus.
-Background in a modeling and testing (champion/challenger) environment preferred.
-An understanding of the check/payments industry a plus.
