Accounts Receivable and Accounting Assistant | Full-Time

Our customers include hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers from the private, public, and federal sector. General Description:
* Consistent follow-up to monitor expected customer payment dates and make recommendations to management concerning payment plans, payment history, credit limits.
* Manage the credit holds for orders pending approval. Work with the Customer Experience team and provide guidance and support as needed.
* Daily email or phone calls to customers.
* Investigate delinquent accounts and contacts customers to collect payments.
* Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
* Send Invoices and Statements to customers as needed to resolve outstanding issues.
* Work with accounting staff and advise upon payment postings and develop SOP for improvements if needed.
* Maintain accurate aging report.
* Reconcile Accounts Receivable to the GL.
* Research and recommend corrections for unapplied/credit balances on accounts
* Work with and assist management with various reporting analysis as needed.
* Cross-trained in other areas of the department to assist in coverage as needed.
* Various tasks as needed to assist Controller and CFO.
Skills/Qualifications:
* Minimum two year degree preferred or minimum five years of accounting or accounts receivable experience.
* Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
* High level of attention to detail. Strong administrative and organizational skills.
* Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and Excel.
* Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
* Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, resolve problems, meet deadlines, and handle a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent customer service skills.
General:
* Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 30 pounds without difficulty.
* No supervisory duties.
