Accounting Manager from Hollister Staffing

Cambridge biotech company seeking an Accounting Manager to join their Finance team. The company is in an exciting stage and is looking for a highly motivated and collaborative person to grow within the accounting and financial reporting functions.

Ideal candidates will have experience from public accounting, strong knowledge of US GAAP/financial reporting, and some experience from biotech/life sciences/technology industries. Compensation includes bonus and equity.

Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close process including complex accruals and reconciliations
• Oversee inventory tracking and cost accounting for new products
• Review footnotes related to SEC filings
• Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls
• Increase efficiency of financial reporting via cross-functional processes
• Review internal and external reports with senior management and accounting staff
• Design and implement new policies to streamline current processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5-12 years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA and/or public accounting preferred
• Biotech/tech/manufacturing industry experience nice to have, but not required.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
