Accounts Receivable Specialist
FTE/Hours: FTE: 1.0 / 80 hours per pay period
Salary: $16.28 - $20.34 (based on relevant experience)

At Asante, the Accounts Receivable Specialist performs account analysis and functions required to receive reimbursement from governmental and non-governmental insurance carriers in an efficient, productive and compliant manner following departmental policy and procedures. This requires working proactively and assisting the public with medical financial responsibilities in a way which will provide continual success for the Asante organization
·High school diploma or equivalent
·Associates or Bachelors Degree; or two years college; or equivalent experience, preferred
·Three years of hospital billing or business office experience, or the equivalent in education and experience (providing knowledge of office and accounting practices, insurance billing, and other office-related skills and functions) is required
·Experience with the Siemens Medical Solutions (SMS) operating system; knowledge of hospital billing software E-Premis; direct experience in hospital billing; and/or one year of successful experience in Patient Account Rep Level II job, preferred

·Strong customer service skills, an ability to handle conflict, and to maintain a calm demeanor during stressful situations
·Excellent oral and written communication skills
·Demonstrated proficiency using computers and typing skills, including Microsoft Office applications
