Essential Job Duties:
The Program Assistant and Receptionist position provides support for the administrative and logistical needs of Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA). Duties include assisting with the basic logistical planning of program activities and events; assisting with supervising student workers; submitting purchase authorizations; processing vouchers/vendor payments and purchase card (PCard) transactions; weekly tacking of Center expenses; prioritizing work assignments; and assisting with other office projects as assigned, as they relate to the work of of MSA.
High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Departmental Required Skills:
Strong computer skills: MS Office Word, Excel, Google, Internet. Have familiarity and work experience utilizing PeopleSoft Financials to process vouchers/vendor payments, handle PCard processing and MarketPlace orders Ability to multi-task work projects; attention to detail; ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines; and the ability to work independently. Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
Graduation from a four year college or university; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees received must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
