ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY TO LAW PARTNER – ROCHELLE PARK, NJ
This position provides administrative and secretarial support for the Partner and Chairman of the firm’s Education Law Practice Group and requires a minimum of three (3) years of prior legal/executive support experience.
Competence to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to multi-task;Exceptional organization skills and prioritizing information and calls;
Coordinate heavy scheduling, set reminders, manage calendars, assist with travel;
Collecting, analyzing and reporting various information;
Drafting letters and documents;
Coordinating and planning business events for a variety of occasions;
Drafting written responses for reply via email and regular mail;
Handling confidential information;
Internal tracking of business expenses;
Coordinate and schedule travel plans;
Act as liaison with other attorneys in the firm as well as outside contacts;
Enter attorney time into billing program and operate dictaphone;
Attention to detail, tech savvy, someone to be a gatekeeper;
Someone comfortable speaking with clients on Partner’s behalf;
Manage passwords for file and update as needed;
Monitor the partner's emails (large volume) that includes highlighting time; sensitive emails, add/update contact information and respond to requests;
Provide support to the litigation attorneys with the preparation of briefs, motion papers, and other pleadings;
Ability to make independent decisions when needed;
Ability to perform duties independently, with minimal or no direct supervision and within a team on special projects as required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and correspond with other outside entities and external contacts;
Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines;
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands;
Ability to work under pressure of deadlines, yet still ensure timeliness, accuracy and a positive attitude.
