Assume responsibility for advanced nursing practice within a clinical specialty. In consultation with other members ofthe health care team, strengthens nursing practice and promotes positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of patients, staff and patient education, and research. Serve as a significant member of the multidisciplinary health care team in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings. Home visits required.
Scheduled Days / Hours: Monday - Friday -40hrs/week;
Graduate from a master's level program.
Graduate from an NLN approved School of Nursing
Minimum 2yrs experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse, experience in Adult Health Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, or Acute Care preferred. Home visit required.
Required License/Certifications/ Registration:
NJ RN License.
NJ APN License.
Certificate in Specialty area as needed.
Current BLS certification.
Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Prescriptive practice is based on the development of written joint protocols with collaborating physician.
These protocols are reviewed, updated and signed yearly.
Receives approval from the Nurse Credentialing Committee.
