Design, develop, and implement systems that facilitate the Packaging, Transportation, Production Control Administration, and Production Control Departments’ ability to provide on-time and cost effective development and delivery of product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 5-8 years of similar experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Designs, develops, maintains and supports various production control administration systems, production control systems and transportation systems to ensure cost effective and on-time delivery performance. Leads new products launches for assigned customers as well as risk analysis for phase out planning.
Maintains EDI system accuracy and software and translates into weekly orders.
Analyzes current processes and systems, makes recommendations and implements improvements.
Arranges shipments for specialized equipment or expedited material to achieve desired delivery time at lowest cost.
Negotiates freight claims in order to recover as much reimbursement as possible from carriers for lost or damaged materials.
Issues chargebacks to all suppliers who fail to follow routing instructions in order to decrease transportation costs for unauthorized shipments. May also issue Supplier Routing Instruction Letters (SRIL) and maintain the SRIL database.
Provides support regarding production control administration software applications and user manuals.
Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Advanced knowledge of EDI software or systems used in the production control process
Strong project management skills including the ability to define program, project or process objectives, identify customers/stakeholders and their interests, plan steps, and to coordinate resources to accomplish goals and objectives in an effective and timely manner
Advanced process improvement (kaizen) mindset
Ability to apply the PDCA process to identify potential process improvements
