The Aesthetician under supervision of Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician provides direct patient care by assisting in patient care, including examinations and dermatological procedures. The Aesthetician works under supervision of Physician to institute a plan of care treatment and establish action plan for skincare of dermatology patients. The Aesthetician educates dermatology patients on skin care and preventative measures. Consults patients on which treatment procedures are best suited, as well as the products used for various skin types. The Aesthetician performs non-invasive skin care treatments which include chemical peels, microdermabrasion, facials, and extractions. The Aesthetician is responsible for carrying out a full consultation pre and post treatment, discussing benefits and risk assessment of treatment procedure. The Aesthetician may clean and maintain examination rooms, and other ancillary equipment. Perform quality control procedures on equipment and/or report any issues.
The ideal candidate for The Aesthetician must be comfortable in performing specific procedures and be team player with strong verbal and written communications skills.
