Underthe direction of an Application Manager, the Ancillary Applications Analyst performstroubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing softwareapplications and their hardware. Theydesign, build, test, and support new applications and modules within theirportfolio and/or service line. The Analyst must achieve in-depth knowledge ofthe software application, hardware architecture and operational workflows, aswell as understand the policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical orbusiness operation supported by the application. The Analyst works withbusiness owners, vendors, and other ISS team members to evaluate and recommendsolutions to complex problems and requests.
Minimum 6 years' experience in a medium to large size medical center with increasing levels of responsibilities and complexity of projects and applications.
Experience withone, or more, of the following applications: Siemens Syngo Dynamics, GE MUSE , GE ComboLab, Carrot Medical C-suite,Philips Xper-WiTT, Lifewatch, PedCath reporting system, GE Centricity PACS,Medicalis worklist, Nuance Powerscribe 360, CodeRyte, Radimetrics, Montage,MagView, Hologic and Aegis, LifeImage, MLK and OIC applications and networkAwarenessof database administration, managing server hardware, storage and backupdevices.
Awareness ofdatabase administration, managing server hardware, storage and backup devices. Knowledge of HL7and DICOM Standards. Broad and/orin-depth knowledge of multiple areas of focus in application specialtyareas. Knowledge of systems andfunctions, including design, development, implementation, user support andtraining, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation. Ability toresearch, organize, analyze, and synthesize data to support effective decision-making. Must be detailoriented and have a knack for probing for information, in order to fullyunderstand the underlying needs that influence how a system should beconfigured/ organized.
Ability to managemultiple and competing tasks. Ability to workeffectively as a team player and work with people of all backgrounds, at alllevels. Effectiveleadership skills and strong customer service orientation. Strong written andverbal communications skills, with the ability to convey technical informationto all levels of application users in a specific, clear, and concise manner. Ability to remaincalm in difficult and stressful situations. Must be able to recognize problems,evaluate, and refer to the appropriate channels for action. Stronginterpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train, support, and workcollaboratively with business owners, team members, and management. Some travel may be required for the purpose ofmeeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
Demonstrate proficiency with information systems technology, which also includes Microsoft Office Suite, email, intranet, internet, and other systems. Demonstrated skill in system workflow and business process flow analysis and design. Bachelor’s Degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
