Applications Delivery Senior Applications Development Manager
In this role, you will actively partner with Healthcare IT delivery leadership, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, as well as, your development team on initiatives that support Cigna Medicare Advantage business. As an Applications Development Manager (ADM), you will help develop an integrated architectural strategy to support next-generation capabilities. You will be responsible for managing the delivery execution of multiple delivery work streams and accountable for providing stable, scalable systems that meets our business needs. The ADM manages multiple projects and releases simultaneously to ensure projects are delivered on time within agreed upon scope, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.
Lead a high performing team
Hire and retain strong application developers, systems analysis and quality control talent
Develop existing talent through leadership, career development and mentoring
Inspire teams to take risks and manage them
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Delegate and prioritize work to ensure effective execution of team/function deliverables
Understanding business products and defining high-level needs
Partner with the business on driving strategy from a product roadmap perspective, provide technical leadership
Provide your team with insight into the product roadmap and articulate technical direction and considerations
Encourage your team to start with the end in mind
Obsess with optimizing the product to achieve business goals while maximizing return on investment and business value
Capabilities and architecture
Plan, coordinate, and manage activities related to functional and technical support of all applications that are within his/her area of responsibility.
Manage all aspects of clinical systems maintenance including software upgrades, integrations, database maintenance, end user support, break-fix solutions, trouble shooting, auditing systems and problem solving.
Lead, design and implement solid, scalable architecture/technology solutions to improve product health
Enforce modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development
Drive flawless execution by making planning and preparation a priority

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in software development and management
Healthcare IT experience to include Medicare/Medicaid markets a significant plus
Experience in industry SDLCs--experience with agile development process a must
Familiarity with cloud solutions such as Salesforce, Electronic Medical/Health Records (EMR/EHR) solutions, Claims systems and/or Population Health Solutions.
Ability to lead a team of mixed roles to deliver systems per our operating model
Experience managing portfolio of major applications
Prior experience with web development and solution architecture is a plus
DevOps and CICD technologies experience
Demonstrated experience with thorough problem solving and analytical skills, combined with strong business acumen
Demonstrated experience to flex to changing priorities and handle aggressive timelines without sacrificing quality
Demonstrated experience in vendor management to include the entire process from RFI to RFP and contract execution.
