Participates in the development of workflows, system configurations, change documentation and training staff on Epic application functionality. Analyzes procedures and problems within manual/automated health care systems; reports findings and when applicable recommends options for resolutions. Formulates system scope and objectives. Acts as a liaison within the Emergency Department utilizing the software application, conducting meetings to determine future enhancements, and preparing and maintaining related documentation. Provide ongoing support and participate in on-call coverage as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Care Administration, Clinical Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, or sciences as well as RN, RRT, RPH, ARNP, and PA degrees are preferred but equivalent experience is also strongly desirable. Healthcare clinical or business operations background in areas such as billing, scheduling, access services, health information management or other support functions a plus.
Current Epic certification and work experience in assigned application preferred. Qualified candidates with related experience would be expected to obtain requiredcertification within approximately 3 months of start date. Training to obtain required certificationwill include travel to Wisconsin when classes are available.
Knowledge and experience with health care information systems or knowledge of processes and workflows in any clinical settings in the Emergency Department, combined with advanced computer skills.

Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in terms understandable to end-users, strong writtenand verbal communication skills toinclude the creation of project documentation and technical writing, ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment onworkflow design, problem solving and other projects that support business needs. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills are necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point required.
