Archivist and Special Collections Librarian
St. Edward's University is seeking a team player who values innovation and creativity to join our Munday Library. This individual will be responsible for the administration and ongoing organization of the Archives and Special Collections. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing access and preservation, maintaining adequate security, and providing timely and responsive research service. This position oversees the department's outreach activities by working closely with the library's Outreach and Marketing Librarian on online exhibits and social media content. This position is a full member of the library team and participates the instruction and liaison programs, departmental meeting initiatives, and library planning.
For consideration, a Master's degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA accredited program, information science, or foreign equivalent and a minimum of three years of professional archival experience required. Knowledge of DACS and Dublin Core. Demonstrated project management and Omeka web publishing/ArchiveSpace information management system preferred.
