ThePsychologist works closely with other members of the clinical staff to providea quality treatment experience for the patient population. The Psychologistworks with patients to provide emotional support and help patients to developthe tools needed for emotional management. The Psychologist enjoys ongoingopportunities for collaboration and learning both within the unit setting andwithin the larger hospital setting. This position requires flexibility andexcellent interpersonal skills.
PrincipalDuties and Responsibilities
- Work directly (individual/group format) with patients to provide emotional support
- Help patients learn the needed tools to manage emotional state
- Collaborate with other professional staff to develop treatment plans as needed
- Communicate information with staff and families as needed
- Contribute to team evaluation of patients and share findings
- Provide consultation to staff as needed
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
