**POSITION SUMMARY**
This position will be part of
a team responsible for the management of the Intercompany processes and related
reporting. This team is responsible for providing oversight for recording of
intercompany activity and for maintaining effective and efficient processes to
ensure accurate financial statements, compliance and appropriate cash
management related to Intercompany activity.
Responsibilities include
review of Intercompany reporting activity/processes, initiation of settlement
activity and related journal entries and preparation of timely reconciliations
to ensure accurate financial statements. The Asst. Manager works with
independence, but within established guidelines, to facilitate timely settlements
to support the company’s cash management and compliance strategies. In
addition, he/she will serve as a contact for intercompany questions/issues for
entity and account owners across the organization.
**EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS**
+ Assistin the recording, reconciling, reporting and settling of intercompany balanceswith a focus on meeting all internal and external reporting requirements.
+ Ensureactivity related to intercompany settlements is recorded in an accurate andtimely manner to support financial statement preparation and foreign and U.S.tax filing requirements.
+ Participatein monthly accounting close processes to include periodic review ofintercompany balances and activity.
+ Preparequarterly reconciliations to support Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
+ Prepareand analyze monthly intercompany aging and analysis reporting, to includeensuring management of settlements/balances are aligned with IRS Code Section956.
+ Serveas point-of-contact to provide guidance to associates at Headquarters andContinental offices to ensure the proper recording and reporting ofintercompany transactions and settlements.
+ Participatein activities to improve and enhance intercompany reporting and settlementprocesses.
+ Assistwith and support annual statutory audit processes by reviewing inter-companybalances and prepare inter-company confirmations during the audit process forMarriott consolidated entities.
+ Participatein department wide projects and goals.
+ Performother duties as assigned.

+ Threeor more years of progressive job experience in accounting/finance field
+ Significantinternational accounting exposure a plus
+ Demonstratesskills in international accounting and multi-currency environment.
+ Advancedknowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. macros & pivot tables).
+ Ableto develop and maintain effective client relationships and promote a clientservice orientation that delivers customer results.
+ Abilityto work effectively in a collaborative work environment.
+ Excellentcommunication skills, both written and oral.Ability to articulate issues to a variety of individuals at multiplelevels within the organization.
