Assistant Store Manager - Retail & Commercial Tire Sales
A well established retail and commercial tire dealer is seeking an assistant store manager for its Jamaica, Queens location. Strong selling, customer relations and leadership skills are required. The store is involved in passenger, commercial truck, industrial, and earthmover tire sales and related services.
Job responsibilities include assisting with the day to day operation of the store including, selling (on the phone and in the store), scheduling work, dispatching drivers on deliveries and road service calls, inventory control, safety of personnel, attaining sales goals, compliance with company policies and controls, general store administration, processing work orders, invoices and national account/governments sales forms, scheduling personnel, coordinating with outside salespeople to satisfy customer needs, monitoring performance of the store operation, and generally representing the company in a professional manner.
The store is open regularly Monday through Saturday; however work outside of those hours may be required from time to time for inventory counts, special customer needs and meetings with management, among other things.
The right candidate should have some knowledge of the tire business or other segment of the automotive industry. Must possess basic math and PC skills.
