DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES + Manages compliance projects to ensure Nintendo products meet regulatory, corporate, and customer compliance requirements. + Develops processes and strategies to ensure environmental and labor standards are met within NOA supply chain. + Reviews product design to ensure compliance standards are met. + Sets objectives for compliance and supply chain programs and leads team in a continuous improvement environment. + Develop processes and systems to support departmental and company-wide goals. + Conducts research from consumer product related trade groups, newsletters, and other relevant publications to maximize awareness of national, state, and local compliance requirements impacting Nintendo products. + Monitors consumer product legislation to assess organizational impact on new and existing products. + Works with trade groups and legal team to monitor and lobby on compliance legislation. + Point of contact for product compliance issues for government authorities, retail partners, and suppliers; maintains and strengthens regulatory relationships. + Creates reports and proposals to enable management to make key decisions on compliance issues. + Builds collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal customers to ensure compliance standards are met. + Educates and trains NOA and NCL departments on compliance requirements. + Communicates regularly with Nintendo Company Limited (NCL) to facilitate implementation of global corporate compliance policies. + Periodic travel, including domestic and international. + Other duties as assigned. SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS + Five+ years product compliance experience in the consumer products field. + Thorough knowledge of domestic and international product regulations and standards, such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL), FCC, Industry Canada, NOM, CFR, and various child safety regulations. + In-depth understanding of product liability issues. + Detailed understanding of internal compliance programs. + Detailed knowledge of international certification procedures and requirements. + Three+ years of experience developing and implementing supply chain programs that drive adherence with environmental and corporate social responsibility practices. + Undergraduate degree plus relevant work experience. + Valid passport may be required.
