CTI’s Head Start Early Learning Program is seeking Assistant Teachers for infant, toddler and preschool classrooms. These are full time, year round positions perfect for candidates who are eager to work in partnership with parents, staff, and the community to provide quality early childhood educational services and family support.
The Assistant Teacher will work in collaboration with a Lead Teacher to support children’s developmental needs and supports parents in their role as the child’s first and primary teacher. This individual will ensure that the classroom is meeting the needs of each child by analyzing classroom assessments and individual child outcomes. This data will be used to implement intentional curriculum in a nurturing, warm, safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. The qualified candidate will also be responsible in ensuring classroom compliance with Head Start, Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, NAEYC, and CACFP standards to provide a quality experience for children and families in a warm, safe, and healthy environment.
The qualified candidate will require a minimum of a Child Development Associate and be EEC Infant/Toddler or Preschool Teacher certified. An Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
