The Assistant Bid Manager will initially shadow the Bid Manager in the following duties with the intention of assisting where required. Our hope is that, as the assistant learns the business, the position will evolve into one of more responsibility.
Explore all bid possibilities; (i.e. search on-line marketing and construction services)
Manage database of all potential bids and current contracts.
Track and be responsible for all meeting dates, due dates etc.
Complete all paperwork, gather all pertinent information and establish contacts for all jobs being bid
Assume the responsibilities of project coordination when contract is awarded, paying strict attention to dates and requirements detailed in the contract.
GREAT organization skills and attention to detail are necessary! General computer skills including database management, comfort with researching information via the internet, personable telephone demeanor, good writing skills are desirable.
This position will be filled by a detail-oriented self-starter.

We need someone with the ability to work in a high intensity office and be able to deal with various personalities. We offer medical benefits including dental and vision after 90 days of employment. We have 5 paid holidays per year and vacation and sick pay hours combine to 9 days for personal time per year. Hours are flexible but will need to conform to the needs of the Manager. We are located in West Berkeley close to freeways. Salary commensurate with experience.
