Her Campus Media is seeking a full-time Associate Branded Content Editor in New York City or Boston to craft creative and engaging content for clients alongside the Her Campus Media editorial teams. This role will report into the Manager of Branded Content, and assist with conceptualizing creative ideas for client campaigns as well as have a hand in executing branded content across all Her Campus Media portfolio properties (Her Campus, College Fashionista, and Spoon University).
The ideal candidate has editorial and/or branded content experience. They have their finger on the pulse of what's trending for college students what they want to read, what they want to see when scrolling through Instagram, and what theyre watching on TikTok. The candidate should have an understanding of video and photo production, or an eagerness to learn it. The ideal candidate understands the client's point of view, can create engaging branded content with that perspective in mind, and is on top of marketing trends in the industry. They are a storyteller, and can share the message of a brand or product in a creative, unique way. This candidate is deeply familiar with Her Campus, Spoon University, and College Fashionista. We're looking for an Associate Branded Content Editor that will approach every task with fire and enthusiasm!
Assist in branded content campaigns from ideation to execution
Brainstorm branded editorial and social content ideas across Her Campus Media properties
Write engaging native articles, social post copy, and social ad copy
Communicate with Sales/Integrated Marketing to stay up-to-date on client needs and goals
Assist with branded photo and video shoots including research, planning and shoot day logistics
Work closely with Design for copy and campaign messaging
Help editing decks, proposals, and various sales materials
Overall make sure branded content preserves HCM properties brand voice and integrity
2-3 years editorial or branded experience, preferably in women's digital media
Experience crafting editorials and social posts for a publisher, brand, or for your own platforms
Passionate about storytelling through social media, especially on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
Superb writing and editing skills with rigorous attention to detail
Ability to see the big picture and think critically, taking into account various stakeholders points of view
Quick and efficient worker with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
Ability to function autonomously and complete projects and tasks without close management and supervision
Self-starter with go-getter attitude, positive and upbeat nature, and excellent work ethic who doesnt mind getting his/her hands dirty and is excited about working in a start-up environment
