Duties & Responsibilities
Working under the guidance of an experienced Buyer, they bring our one-of-a-kind brand to life each day by using customer insights to build compelling assortments and they make responding to the needs of our customers their top priority. They present new ways for people to see and experience their homes and create merchandise which will spark the imagination, present inventive solutions and reveal more possibilities than our customers ever thought possible.
The Associate Buyer is responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle, from inception to exit, for a department Merchandising Division. You will achieve sales, gross profit and turnover goals for department and manage end to end item profitability and productivity, through sourcing, developing and selecting new and innovative merchandise, conceptualizing and creating product assortments, and balancing new introductions with continued support of best sellers in order to effectively deliver on the financial goals for the business.
Education & Experience
To be considered you should have:
- A degree in a business discipline and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the Buying offices of national or regional retailer.
- Proven track record of creating a merchandise assortment and demonstrated success in driving top line sales.
- Home decor buying experience is not needed but a passion for home decor is required.
