Through these products and associated services, we are focused on making the medication use process simpler, safer and smarter\.**Position Summary**The position is based in San Diego, CA, reporting to the Worldwide VP, HealthSight Platform\. In support of the AI driven HealthSight analytics platform, this leader will own and drive the development of a proprietary HealthCare Master Data Management platform\. This platform will serve as a critical enabler of analytical and other BD products – powering them with clean and comprehensive drug and other clinically relevant data\.The role is accountable for setting the strategic direction and executing the strategy globally across a team of direct reports and cross\-functionally\. Specifically, this role is responsible for leading a team to accomplish the following:+ Design, implement, evaluate, generate data, curate and continuously improve the master data management platform with respect to drug formulary information, and future expansion of other information domains\.+ Review industry literature, practice guidelines, and new drug information databases to continue to improve and enrich the BD databases for drug information, and future expansion of other information domains\.+ Normalization of formulary data by medication mapping process, peer review of data updates, review data trends to produce industry benchmark on the optimal setup for formulary data in all pharmacy automation systems\.+ Coordinate the collection and reporting of customer facing metrics defining benefits and return on investment associated with BD HealthSight Data Platforms, in partnership with cross functional BD departments\.+ Provides direction and management oversight to the team of Clinical Informaticists \- CuratorsIn addition to direct ownership of the HealthCare Master Data Management platform, this role will serve as critical subject matter expert to our broader implementation team in the area of data extraction, ingestion, and normalization\. This role will be expected to have a strong working knowledge of electronic medical record / hospital IT systems and other core hospital informatics systems – including what and how data is captured, stored, and transmitted\. Through this experience, this role will be expected to support the team’s efforts to develop an efficient customer data pipeline to power our analytical products\.We are looking for a passionate and self\-driven informatics professional to support the organization’s transition from providing category\-leading products to delivering integrated solutions and services\. This individual will create a new strategic asset for BD and partner closely with other relevant functions to efficient deliver solutions to key clinical and operational challenges\.**Key responsibilities:**+ Lead expansion of formulary capabilities including new drug properties and new geographies \(outside US\)\.+ Lead expansion of new data domains such as facilities/care areas and users+ Serve as product owner and end customer to development team building Master Data Management tool\. Support defining of requirements and ensure it continues to meet needs\.+ Serve as subject matter expert to technical and product teams to inform on data availability from non\-BD generated sources \(ie\. Find new ways it can be leveraged to add value to organization\.+ Lead and effectively manage team of permanent and part\-time pharmacists and pharmacy techs to achieve key deliverables of the role\. Tight coordination of part\-time workers needed to ensure predictable output from overall team\.+ Create and maintain a plan for the overall training for the content Team+ Contribute to promoting best education and clinical practice integration across BD through consultation and committee work with appropriate resource personnel\.+ Effectively plan and manage budget to deliver commitments on target\. Preferably experience in the area of master data management, data structure, storage, and transmission\.+ Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree Required+ Licensure as a Pharmacist in good standing, active+ Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or other applicable specialty+ Applicable Informatics Degrees – Bioinformatics or Clinical Informatics+ Must be knowledgeable of new trends in clinical management and information systems, and be able to apply data processing technology for the clinical and physician services areas\.+ Strong EMR experience, multiple EMRs \(Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts\) – implementation of EMR, management of an informatics team, working knowledge of underlying data fields and database structures, interfaces and data extractions\. Epic and/or Cerner certified preferred\.+ Strong Master Data Management experience – including building out data schema and utilization of MDM tools\.
