The Associate Director will assist with directing and coordinating the daily responsibilities, operations and maintenance of Temple University Hospital’s clinical risk management services. This is a highly visible and highly valuable role at the hospital. Duties will include directing and supervising a small team of Senior Risk Managers and Risk Managers (first and second shift), managing their own investigations and case resolution, representing the department in assigned committees, and sharing call coverage. They will assure appropriate and timely response to patients and their advocates, maintain accurate reporting processes with in-house systems, stakeholders, and the required reports to insurance, state and federal institutions. The goal being to maximize patient safety and satisfaction, and minimize general liability and professional liability claims.
Minimum qualification requirements for consideration:
- At least 5 years' experience in clinical risk management.
- An ARM (Associate in Risk Management and/or CPHRM (Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management) is preferred. Certification will be expected within 2 years if it has not already been acquired.
- People management and/or supervisory experience hiring, mentoring, training, evaluating, and disciplining staff.
- A Bachelors Degree. A Bachelors Degree with a Health, Law, Safety or related major is preferred.
Typical schedule: 40 hrs/wk, M-F
