Reporting to the Director of Health Services, the Associate Director will play a key role in the overall management of the Health Center. This position provides an exceptional opportunity for a team-oriented clinician with a strong commitment to the wellbeing of college students to deliver a holistic model of healthcare. The Associate Director is responsible for developing, coordinating, administering, evaluating, and providing supervision for the daily operations of the student health center. This role provides an opportunity for a perfect blend of direct clinical care, leadership and administrative responsibilities. The Associate Director must have strong clinical acumen, compassion, and interpersonal skills; lead from a broad institutional perspective and work effectively as both a team leader and team member; and be someone who can inspire confidence and trust. The Associate Director will engage staff in seeking opportunities for innovation in program, service, and business models while ensuring outstanding quality in all aspects of care and operations.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in nursing; at least four years of nursing experience; demonstrated ability to relate effectively to students and staff; and hold a current license to practice professional nursing in Connecticut. Preferred qualifications include: Master's degree or Nurse Practitioner; and experience working with young adult populations. Candidates lacking the B.S.N. may be considered in the case of appropriate experience.
