Click above for further detailsUnder the general direction of the Hospital Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Associate Hospital Administrator – Ancillary Services is responsible for the administration, management, and direction of professional and clinical ancillary services at Ventura County Medical Center and Santa Paula Hospital to ensure the development of high quality, cost effective, and integrated clinical programs. In addition to the clinical ancillary departments, areas of responsibility may include other assigned departments. Responsibilities include oversight of the management of resources associated with operations of assigned departments. The Associate Hospital Administrator - Ancillary Services is responsible, directly and/or through management staff, for integrating the strategic plan of the organization with its operations, ensuring that services efficiently meet the needs of patients, physicians, staff and the public.
This classification is distinguished from other Health Care Agency (HCA) management or supervisory classifications by the operational responsibility for the supervision/management of assigned hospital ancillary/clinical support services and staff, as well as the responsibility to assist the COO in planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring overall hospital operations. This position is exempt from the Civil Service System.
PAYROLL TITLE: Chief Hospital Operations - Professional & Support Services - E
Chief Hospital Operations - Professional & Support Services is an at-will classification which is exempt from the provisions of the Civil Service Ordinance. The incumbent will receive Management benefits at the MB2 level and is exempt from overtime compensation.
The County offers an attractive compensation and benefits package. In addition to the above base salary, other "cashlike" benefits may include a 3% match on your 401k contributions (up to a maximum of $8,121), a Flexible Credit Allowance ($14,222 annually), the ability to "cash in" or redeem up to 100 hours of Annual Leave (up to a maximum of $13,015 per year), possible bilingual incentive pay, and participation in the County's defined pension plan.
