It is an exciting time to join Tyson Foods’ Shopper Marketing team. This team builds solid foundational frameworks that enable us to deliver company growth objectives.
The Associate Shopper Marketing Manager works cross-functionality with brand, sales, and customers teams to deliver on ROI and joint business plans across Tyson’s portfolio. You’ll be challenged to do more and work with a multifunctional team and agency. This role sits within Shopper Marketing’s Grocery team and supports multiple retailers on Shopper and eCommerce initiatives. The Associate Manager reports to a Shopper Marketing Manager.
+ Develop & execute shopper marketing strategies and plans for Tyson's portfolio of brands at specified Grocery accounts.
+ Support Shopper Marketing Manager execute & develop shopper marketing plans at one strategic retailer.
+ Create & launch tactical programs that align both Brand goals and Customer priorities and meet/exceed objectives (awareness, household penetration, trial & repeat, etc.).
+ Balance project management & budget maintenance for shopper marketing and eCommerce programs, communicate brand information internally and externally, and collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Shopper, Agency, Sales Planning, Brand Team) with masterbrand & scale programs.
+ Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional partners.
+ Ability to comfortably sell ideas to decision makers and stakeholders, including the Buyer, Sales Leader, Brand Manager, & Sales Planning Team. Ability to influence multiple functions, both internally & externally, at manager & director levels in planning, budgeting, and development of programs.
+ Leverage fact-based and qualitative data that compliment customer visions for sustained business growth and aligns with Sales, Brand, & Retailer priorities. Engage Shopper Insights team for insights to action & solutions.
+ Conduct Strategic Business Analysis, identify Key Business Drivers, and create and track agreed upon KPI's to optimize ROI.
+ Lead agency partners based on project management from brief through creative concept to execution. Write agency assignment briefs and be the strategic customer & brand advocate.
+ Perform at a high capacity to deliver against quick turn-around on unanticipated customer-generated requests. Requires solid project management skill set, along with multi-tasking, troubleshooting, and attention to detail.
Education: BS in marketing or other business-related field preferred
Experience: 2 years' experience in marketing, sales, market research, eCommerce, and/or agency in Food or other Consumer Packaged Goods Industry. A minimum of 1-year knowledge in shopper marketing preferred.
+ Advanced skill set in Microsoft Office Excel to build complex Excel spreadsheets as analysis tools, budget, mapping to multiple sheets.
+ Moderate to advanced skill set in PowerPoint.
+ Proficient systems knowledge and experience with syndicated data (AC Nielsen/IRI/Spectra).
+ Public speaking skills for presentations, peers, and customers.
+ Collaboratively communicate daily with field sales, agency, brand teams, business unit teams and retail execution team.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Clear communication across brand and portfolio team in several aspects of the programming: process, program details, and program results.
Travel: 3-5 trips annually
