HOURS: MUST BE AVAILABLE 4 A.M. TO 12:00 PM (Noon). THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION 40 hours a week
Position Summary: The Lion House Bakery is looking for someone that has 3 years of experience with baking breads from scratch and can follow our Lion House Bread/Roll Recipes. Must have leadership abilities to guide a team of Bakers who produce a product that consistently meets or exceeds the Lion House Bakery product standards. Knowledge of yeast dough a must. Ability to understand bakery formulas and recipes required. Must be able to work standing on feet, and have the ability to lift 50 pounds of dough out of a mixer consistently. Works with team until all work is completed.
Duties: Promote a high level of morale within department, utilizing friendly but professional methods of honest and open communication. Provides a safe, clean and positive environment; and consistently builds and supports a culture that is based on relationships and continuous improvement. Has knowledge of and complies with all company policies, procedures, programs and directives. Refers to Employee Handbook continually to ensure policies and procedures are followed. Promotes a harassment-free, friendly and safety minded environment. Continually strives to build knowledge and skills, both personally and within the department through training and education of self and other team members. Contributes to profits and revenues through consistently meeting productivity requirements. Assists in maintaining proper freshness and code dating of products produced in the Bakery Department keeping the Lion House Bakery in compliance with governmental guidelines, company policies and procedures. Helps to insure sanitation standards of the company and government regulatory agencies at all times. Helps to maintain all department equipment is in good working order. Responsible for cleanliness of department as directed by Lion House Bakery Manager.
Requires at least 3 years of baking experience in a professional bakery. This person must be able to lift 50 pounds and is required to use or operate proofer, oven. Must have the ability to write, speak, hear and understand English. Education: High School diploma or GED; Other: Food Handler's Permit required. Must be able to work efficiently and prioritize and multi-task daily projects and see them through at completion. Assess product meets Bakery quality and consistent standards.
