ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital has been providing high-quality health care services to the Branch County community since 1939. Located in Coldwater, Michigan, ProMedica Coldwater has 71 acute medical beds and 16 adult psychiatric beds to care for patients and their families.
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures may be assigned to assist with direct care of patients. Interacts with Behavioral Health patients on an acute inpatient unit as directed and delegated by the RN which may include one-on-one counseling sessions, group therapeutic activities, patient education classes, monitoring patient on suicide or in seclusion or restraints. This position also requires taking and recording vital signs, charting daily in progress notes, monitoring supplies and refilling stock, preparing charts for admissions and communicating information to the R.N
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
High school level education or equivalent. Some college credits or previous experience in Behavioral Health related field preferred.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Good communication skills, physical intervention techniques updated yearly. Yearly completion of required competencies. BCLS required within 6 months of hire.
