The Allegheny County Bar Association, a downtown Pittsburgh based professional trade association, is accepting applications for a full-time Billing & Receivables Specialist. This position handles billing and receivables in a busy, fast-paced office environment.
Required duties of the position include:
Ø Accounting Support-the Billings & Receivables Specialist takes orders, enters data, handles customer billing, processes receivables, and provides accounting and clerical support to the Finance Department.
Ø Customer Service-the position requires extensive customer interaction. Strong communication skills, including professional in-person, telephone, and written business/email correspondence skills are needed.
Ø Data entry-the position requires use of a number of accounting, banking, and other software programs. Database experience, the ability to learn new software programs quickly, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
A college degree or a high school diploma and relevant work experience is required. The position requires familiarity with basic accounting procedures and bookkeeping and customer service and computer skills. Excellent organizational skills, ability to move between and prioritize tasks, and the ability to adhere to deadlines are also required.
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday during the standard business day.
