Biostatistics Research Professor will serve as Deputy Chair of the Levine Cancer Institute (LCI) Department of Cancer Biostatistics. Works with other biostatisticians in the department with clinical, health outcomes and translational investigators in support of the LCI Investigator-Initiated Research program; designs and analyzes LCI Investigator-Initiated Research studies; provides biostatistical consulting; provides technical leadership mentorship; collaborates with cross functional teams;
Conduct and participate in the planning and development of a variety of research projects. Collaborate on appropriate departmental and facility projects as assigned by leadership. Collaborate and interact with investigators at other local, regional, national and international institutions. Foster and mantain collegial collaborations with members of the department, residents, fellows, technical team members, physicians, faculty, students and visiting scientists. Design and analyze clinical and translational research studies, writes statistical analysis results, collaborates on development of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, abstracts for presentation of results at local, national and international scientific meetings. Collaborate on grant proposals for intra- and extra-mural funding. Develop and deliver educational material as part of the LCI educational curriculum.
Works in a fast paced research and administrative environment. This position requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, speak, hear and use the telephone. Is responsible for working in a safe manner
PhD or MD or both from an accredited institution required. A distinguished record of publications, external funding and national recognition and leadership required. History of external funding as Principal Investigator preferred but not required
