About the Job
The Lehigh Cement Cadomin Quarry is looking for a full time, permanent Blaster for theresponsible and safe operation of explosives and various heavy mining equipment. Working with the Quarry Manager, the Blaster will be responsible for surface mine explosives blasting. The successful candidate will have a proven safety record and a history of working successfully in a team.
The Quarry blasts twice per month, therefore equipment operating in the interim is a requirement.

Duties Include but not limited to:
Loading and firing off blasts
Maintain accurate logs and paperwork as per OH&S regulations and company policy
Work with other mining positions when required
Operate and maintain specialized mining equipment, Cat haul trucks and Loaders
Operating a bench drill would be an asset.
Overtime work will be available
Who We Are Looking For:
Alberta Surface Mine Blast certified person
Experience as a blaster in surface mining and/or quarrying considered an asset
Must be able to effectively communicate and safely follow directions
Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Grade 12 Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
Experience with heavy equipment for 60 tons and greater in mining or quarrying an asset
Experience operating construction or heavy equipment also will be considered
